Players will play the matches at the LAN Centres where they registered at.
The tournament will be open only to Singapore LAN Centres, for now.
And registration is free.

Do we need to have an Original Steam account for L4D 2 Account then use that to login to the Designated LAN centers?
[Reply]
March 2nd, 2010 at 9:24 pm
Or do we just use whatever Steam account the LAN provides? and btw whats Valve Retail packs?

It is advisable for you to use your own STEAM account if you have L4D2 registered to it. Otherwise, just use the cafe STEAM account.
At this moment the Valve retail pack is not yet confirmed. Which is why we haven’t put up any info on it.

hi, is it possible for the matches to be played on saturdays and sundays? it would be easier for the games to be played as people may have tight schedules on the weekdays

The matches are planned in those time frames to accommodate as many teams as possible. If there are teams that are unable to play during those times, it is possible to reschedule as long as both teams have informed us well in advance and then decide on the new match time.

Is there an age limit?
And must all team members register at the same LANshop at the same time?

At this moment there is no age limit.
Teams will be playing at the LAN Centre where they register at, so yes, all team members must register at the same LAN Centre/shop.

Are we allowed to use external equipment?
Like, for example, the n52te keyboard accessory make by Belkin? Or our own headsets?
As, I use it at home and would be out of synch if I were to use a standard keyboard….and a mircophone does a better job at relaying orders than shouting across the room.

Equipment shouldn’t be a problem but it depends on the LAN Centre.

Erm, when I called the I.R.C. lanshop the girl saaid that they are not participating in this compeitition, whereas your website clearly states that I.R.C. is part of the selected LAN centres.
In the words of gamer, “WTF?”

Are the games going to be played on weekdays? Or just weekends? Or both?

Depends wholly on how many teams we get. If all slots are full (32 teams), then the brackets will look a lot more clearer. In confidence I can say as teams progress through the brackets, they will have matches more often.

I have 3 questions.
1. How will you penalize the teams caught with underaged players?
2. How will you verify that the players are above 18?
3. Why M18?

admin Reply:
March 22nd, 2010 at 11:52 am
The LAN Shop will verify.
Why? Its because the game has an age rating of 18 and above. So we must adhere to the rules and regulations.

So when we like, get to the LAN shop right. Do we tell them that we are gonna play for ACG?
Or as what “normal” people do normally.
-2 hours 4 computers.
If we are gonna do what “normal” people do, how will the LAN people be able to check the players IC?
